L'abeille·New York
Open MapThis October, Chef Mitsunobu Nagae at l’abeille welcomes back Chef Yosuke Suga of Tokyo’s coveted, invite-only SUGALABO, together with his team of five chefs, for an extraordinary return to New York. Recently spotlighted by CNN Travel in an inside look at one of Tokyo’s most exclusive dining experiences, SUGALABO famously has no online reservations and welcomes guests by introduction only. Consistently regarded among Japan’s top restaurants, just 20 fortunate diners are welcomed each evening — and the next available reservation at SUGALABO Tokyo is now in 2028.
Chef Yosuke Suga is one of Japan’s most internationally recognized chefs, having spent 16 years with Joël Robuchonand leading restaurant openings around the world, including L’Atelier de Joël Robuchon at the Four Seasons New York. In 2015, he founded Tokyo’s highly exclusive, introduction-only SUGALABO, where French technique meets a deeply Japanese focus on seasonality, provenance, and exceptional ingredients.
Chef Mitsunobu Nagae is the Executive Chef and co-owner of l’abeille, known for a refined culinary style that blends classical French technique with the precision, seasonality, and sensibility of his Japanese heritage. After training in celebrated kitchens including those of Joël Robuchon, Chef Mitsu built an international career spanning Japan, France, and New York before opening l’abeille in Tribeca, where he continues to shape a distinctly modern French-Japanese cuisine.
